Stories change the world
Untold Earth is a mixed-media, impact-driven storytelling initiative focused on Ecological Restoration across India. In an anthology of five short films, each story shines light on a different region across India and the stories of people therein. These are connected by the common cause of highlighting nature-based solutions and collective agency. To that end, Untold Earth is both a sociological and environmental experiment.
Tanmayi Gidh
Founder/ Creative Head
Tanmayi is the Founder and Creative Head of Untold Earth.
A Philosophy graduate by education and a conservation communicator by profession, she has spent close to a decade working with non-profits in the environmental and community-wellbeing spaces. Through these years, she has leveraged the power of strong narratives and storytelling, while also trying to learn from the gaps that exist in the ecosystem.
Tanmayi’s love for the natural environment stems from her early fondness for outdoor sports, and the consequent desire to conserve the wildscapes of which she had come to think of as home. Through Untold Earth, Tanmayi wants to dive deeper into the power of storytelling for change, and find solutions in the ecological restoration space while learning from, collaborating and influencing the landscape in the process.
